A core project during my internship at Pottery Barn was the conceptualization of product for Halloween for fall of 2014.
The process started by pitching themes in the form of mood boards that would introduce a framework for product ideation. Generating these themes required an extensive amount of inspiration gathering for storytelling.
After a selection process of the individual theme concepts, collaborative mood boards were created to realize the themes across product categories, from tabletop accessories to outdoor decorations. Each designer was to then concept products in their respective department.  For me, that meant ideating on the exterior of the house: what’s in the trees, what lines the walkway, what’s on the front door, what’s in the yard and in the bushes, what’s on the porch, and so on.
Below showcases my contributions in regards to one theme in particular, “Witch’s Cottage”.
